East Hampton Library 21st Annual Author’s Night, August 9th
Every summer the East Hampton Library hosts their celebrity studded fundraiser celebrating books with 100 authors! On Saturday, August 9th from 5-7:30pm there will be the gathering of authors, readers and library supporters outdoors under a grand tent at Herrick Park in the middle of the Village of East Hampton. I am looking forward to seeing Christie Brinkley, James Frey, Kelly Bishop, Molly Jong-Fast, Annabel Monaghan, Zibby Owens, Talia Carter and more! I hope to see you there! GET YOUR TICKET TODAY!
Bedside Reading 8th Annual Author Party Wednesday, August 20th
I have been a reader forever and a book blogger and part of the Bedside Reading family for 8 years. Jane Ubell Meyer, the founder of Bedside Reading, places complimentary books in her participating hotels, provides a digital library for the hotel guests, promotes authors in print and online media, runs the Bedside Reading book cover awards and so much more. I am thrilled to be working with Jane and many incredible authors, and in the summer, with 10 beautiful hotels in the Hamptons. We deliver complimentary gift bags filled with books 6 weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day plus the Hamptons Film Festival Weekend in October to the different locations out on the east end as a luxury perk for their guests! Getting more eyes on our authors’ books in person, online and via social media, is a job we take very seriously! We also like to have some fun, so we are having a party, and YOU ARE INVITED!
