Having Difficulty Finding Time to Get Into a Book These Days?

To Do

Picking Up a Short Book Could Be the Answer

As the weather begins to change and days get shorter, lots of us tend to want to stay in more. You would think that means more time to read, but the closer we get to Thanksgiving, to-do lists grow and concentration wanes. Free time is spent preparing for travel or organizing closets, cleaning out kitchen cabinets, researching new recipes, shopping and cooking…all taking time away from the books!

If you have trouble finding big chunks of time to sit down and read, you are not alone. Here is a list of some of my favorite, enjoyable books that are less than 275 pages each. Each one packs a punch and should take less that 8 hours to read. Whether you have an hour each night or only 15 minutes a day to relax and lose yourself in the pages, you don’t have to go cold turkey for the Thanksgiving holiday! From the list of small and mighty books below, choose your next and take a few moments to read!

  1. Thank you for this list of short books. It was right on time as I am actually reading a short book. It is called Pride and about 6 hours long. I can’t recall the author but it is a spin on the book Pride and Prejudice. I also love the book Our Souls at Night. I read it some years ago and watched the movie based on it. The movie was great too. .
